Our Recycling Habits
The team members of Slide Scanning Pros work together to help reduce waste at our location. We recycle boxes, paper, bottles and anything else that can be recycled. Instead of bottled water, we use a Britta filter system and reusable cups. The thing we recycle most of, however, is packing material.
We recycle as much packing material from customer orders as we can. This includes bubble wrap, shipping paper and air pouches. When receiving an order back from us, it is common to find one or more of these items protecting your slides, negatives, DVD-Rs and hard drives.
The only packing material we do not recycle back to our customers are used boxes (we want to make sure that the box we ship your order in is durable) and packing peanuts (we have seen what packing peanuts can do to the integrity of slides and negatives). We do recycle our boxes and recyclable peanuts to our building's "recycle bin".
